Pandeiro.com is THE source for hand made pandeiros. I have never seen so many top quality pandeiros from so many makers in any one place - not even in Brazil! Not to mention the website has extremely detailed information about each instrument (such as dimensions, materials used, weight, several photos, etc.) and such excellent customer service, that I am constantly (and enthusiastically) referring people to this site. Much more than an on-line store, pandeiro.com is an excellent resource for anyone interested in this instrument and the music and musicians that surround it.

I'm taking the time to learn how to play this great instrument. The many sounds and dynamics of the pandeiro have inspired me to continue making music. Thanks for the great instrument!

Congratulations on your website! It is awesome, simple and direct to the point, I love it. It kicked my ass, and made me practice more pandeiro. I've already shown the site to a bunch of people.

I had been looking for a pandeiro. I found this site and I asked "Do you know good Pandeiro?" The response was quickly and easy to know the feature of each Pandeiros. So I got two pandeiros: Bira (round rim) and Fabiano (flat rim). The Bira is good for Suzano style because it has great heavy bass tone and also has good balance of the treble (jingles) and bass (head). And the body is not too heavy - this is very very important. Fabiano has bright jingles (more sustained than Bira) and medium-thin skin. It sounds brightly, lightly, clearly. It is very light. With it you can play long time. If you are looking for Pandeiro, please ask Pandeiro.com. They know all of Pandeiro from "P" to "o". I am rejoiced by the arrival which is very quicker than schedule. May the pandeiro be with you, always ...

I was looking for a percussion instrument that I could play with my hands only, but which also made it possible for me the produce a groove. Something with a high and a low pitched part, I thought. There are drums available which are like a small high and low conga glued together but the they lack the sound of cymbals - something to replace the hi-hat. So I thought: "I'll buy a tambourine". As I started to surf the net for some hints on how to play it I came across Pandeiro.com. And that's how I found out that all I'll ever need for the rest of my life is ... a pandeiro. The moment I saw you guys play, it became crystal clear that that's it.

I have been spreading the news of your website and pandeiros with the studio percussionists here in LA. I think you are providing a wonderful opportunity for percussionists worldwide.

A great, professional website that gave me the best advice on what should be my next pandeiro. The fist pandeiro I bought was by Bira which has one of the best goat skins I've ever seen. The sound of the jingles couldn't be more crisp - they remind me of the sound of a hi-hat but still having the relaxed sound of a real pandeiro! In other words a full drumset in 10 inches of handmade work and pure love for a drum. Thanks! What's the next one?!

The Bira arrived yesterday and it's fantastic! The sound is very balanced, delicate and potent at the same time as well as a bit "dirty", just like I like it!

You are doing such a great job in making the pandeiro known all over the world. Congratulations! I look forward to every bit of information you have to offer.

I received a pandeiro from Pandeiro.com today and I must say that it sounds (and looks) absolutely amazing. It’s far beyond my expectations. I've had a lot of pandeiros over the years but never a handmade one like this. The difference is huge. Bira’s excellent craftsmanship and sense for details results in an instrument with perfect jingle sounds, crispy slaps and a warm deep bass. This is the sound you’re looking for. Take my word for it.

I haven't had the time to play the pandeiro much, but I did try it out on a bus stop outside customs at Helsinki airport where I picked it up! Seems to me that I finally have the pandeiro I've wanted to have for so many years! It's very easy to play, very nice jingle sound ... can't wait to record it in the studio.

For the moment a short but big thank you! The Bira pandeiro arrived safe at my place. I like it a lot and have started to play it. I was also very pleased to watch the short videos on the web page. This is really what we need far away from the home of the pandeiro - some inspiration by great players.

Wow! This is what I call THE pandeiro. The sound is AMAZING and it's very light weight, not to mention beautifully made with excellent materials. I can't describe how happy I am. I've been playing it now for about 2 hours and I can’t get enough - I feel like a child when he gets a new toy. Forget nylon pandeiros, this is the sound I have searched for for years. I have tried almost ALL factory made pandeiros but nothing can compare to this pandeiro. We even managed to get the instrument to Slovenia which is no easy task! The site videos are stunning - pandeiro.com is definitly my favorite site! I will recommend it to all musicians! This is my best birthday present EVER! Viva pandeiro.com!!!!!!! Thank you!!!!!

As a percussionist and pandeirista of the Choro Ensemble I'm always looking for new things. Since I've been living in the USA for the last ten years, I've become a bit out of touch with the scene in Brasil. But I already knew, from contact with other percussionists living in Brasil and from listening to recordings by pandeiristas like Celsinho Silva, that handmade pandeiros have a quality far superior to those made in factories. Through Pandeiro.com, I was exposed to pandeiros from various makers. I chose an instrument that responds quickly and precisely to all of my emotions. Thanks Pandeiro.com! (translated from português)

Pandeiro.com hooked me up with an amazing instrument from a maker that I have been trying to find for a very long time. He was helpful in making the connection and making sure the transaction went nice and smooth. I've been playing this drum for four days solid and love it! Thanks for providing this unique and valuable service.

I would like to thank you for your passion. This page is wonderful! The panderio is a difficult instrument to play, info is very hard to come by and finding a good panderio is essential..
