Supernylon pandeiro with hammered jingles - Pagode pandeiro with "hand-made" features

The Pro Leve (=Light) from Contemporanea's Luthier series is definitely one of the lightest nylon head pandeiros on the market, weighing just about 500g. The wooden frame is coated with a layer of black synthetic laminate and thick in order to withstand the pressure of the high tension caused by the typical high tuning of Pagode pandeiros. We are massive supernylon fans: the head is coated with fibreglass on the underside. It feels like a thin layer of velvet paper and cleans out all overtones that synthetic heads like to produce. The muffling effect results in crisp slaps and funky opens that will rock every Pagode and are totally fun to play. The PRO Leve Luthier is the successor model of the popular Formica, which is pretty similar in terms of construction but has very different jingle characteristics. The PRO Leve Luthier has hammered brass jingles that look like from a handmade pandeiro. The sound is delicate but modern, compatible and powerful, strong sound qualities and a blast to play!
