All skins are medium thickness and hand picked. For the sound, this means they resonate well, have rich basses and bring a variety of sound characteristics that perfectly match the inconspicuous hand-hammered jingles and can be found across the Brazilian music genre. The pandeiro is beautifully crafted, with a 3-ply wooden frame in a variety of colors. The jingles are made of high quality brass, each with a center sheet, also made of brass. The flatrim, also handcrafted, is stainless steel and fits perfectly around the custom chosen hide. Beautiful 10'' light weight pandeiro - perfect harmony between all sound components!New version with aluminium rim; with this feature, the weight has been reduced by 80g to just under 400g.Pizzott’s pandeiro skins go through a special tanning procedure. As a result the skins look more rustical and produce absolutely fantastic sound! The heads appear lively, you can literally see the handcraft glowing in the instrument. Also the pandeiro is one of our lightest weighing only 390 g. All those tempting characteristics make it an absolute favourite, you might not want to put it down again. Using flatrim tension hoops on pandeiros makes it possible to build very light instruments. The skin is not pressed into a metall ring like usually but wrapped around a piece of wire which saves weight! Also a pandeiro built with the flatrim technique is comfortable to hold because there is no hoop standing over the top.
